The days and nights are forever frozen, the Arctic Circle is vanishing
The silvery thread of the horizon is in front of my eyes
There’s a kind of danger that lies in the hearts of you and me

[That danger] is greedy desire, so shallow
I’m getting ready, right now, to ride a shooting star

I am forever within this deep sleep

We must recover the beauty of our memories

The prophesied end of the world didn’t happen in 1999
We’ve escaped that danger countless times by now
